The criteria by which any businesses are judged are based not only on financial output but also on public or consumer perception. Of course we know this from experience. When you walk into a shop or any other kind of business for that matter your first perception of the business will inevitably be what sticks with you.
It is because of this that companies spend lots of money on marketing and branding themselves in a way that will get consumer attention. But a brand is how you entice customers to you, once they are there a business has to make sure not to lose them.
One of the ways to do this is to make sure that your office environment is pleasing to your customers or consumers. If this is currently not the case then it is time for some office refurbishment. Office refurbishment does not need to be an extensive and all consuming process.
It is simply about making the best use of the space that you have. Take an outdoors leisure company for example. If you walk in and see people in suits and ties behind desks, you will be less inclined to believe what they have to offer is a real outdoor experience.
Instead the office should be more rugged and rustic with camping chairs in the waiting room. And perhaps even a sales person dressed as a guide.
