Sarah Gee has been Managing Consultant of DixonRaines Ltd., the UK's premier arts marketing and development income generation consultancy, since June 2006. She had previously worked for the company as a part-time Senior Consultant, with clients including Sydney's Powerhouse Museum, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Norfolk Arts Partnership, the Arnolfini in Bristol and mac.
Prior to that, Sarah worked in a variety of roles in the music business, most recently as Director of Communications for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Responsible for marketing & sales, audience development, media & public relations and fundraising, she managed a team of ten generating income of nearly 3 million pounds per year. She led the CBSO through a successful rebranding process and devised diversity, marketing, fundraising and communications strategies for the company. |

An erstwhile hornplayer, Sarah is a regular trainer and speaker on marketing, branding and fundraising matters in the UK and overseas. in 2007 she was Chairman of Birmingham Future and is a founding Director of Birmingham Professional DiverCity. She also judges The Queen's Awards for Voluntary Service, mentors two young arts managers and is an advisor to the University of Central England's PR course. In 2004 Sarah was elected as a fellow of the British American Project, an initiative designed to establish stronger trans-Atlantic relationships across both public and private sectors.
In her spare time, Sarah makes jewellery, enjoys walking and travelling, and loves cooking for friends with her husband Baz.
